Halloween Ghost Stories

One day, two friends were talking about a haunted house that hadn't been lived in, in years. The one friend said to the other friend, "I will give you 100 bucks if you spend one night in that old haunted house when the moon is full and bright." The other friend said, "I'm not afraid,I don't believe in ghosts, I'll take your bet." So on a Saturday night the bet was on. The young man packed a small bag and a machete and set out for the old rickety house at sundown. As the boy proceeded up the stairs he heard all of this creaking but he just dispelled it and said, "There are no such things as ghosts to himself over and over." Well, there were no lights in the house, only the light of the moon that shone through the windows. It was very cold, because it was fall and there was no heat in the house. He found a room upstairs with a bed in it and the bed was aligned with the window so the moon was shining behind him through the window. He thought to himself, "This is the easiest 100 bucks I have ever made, but I will keep this machete under my pillow just in case something does happen." So the young man settles down to go to sleep. He was fast asleep, and then in the middle of the night he heard a loud noise. He became so scared that he hid his head under the sheet that was covering him. He was too afraid to look from under the sheet, but he knew he had to. So he peered out with his eyes just above the sheet and at the end of the bed he saw two eyes staring at him. He was paralyzed with fear and thought to himself "What should I do? run, hide, or attack?" The young man knew he had the machete under his pillow and decided he was going to attack the thing with the eyes staring at him from the end of the bed. So he got the machete from under his pillow,closed his eyes, and with a quick sweep he just cut straight across from right to left hoping to cut the eyes that were staring at him. At that moment, he let out a horrific scream that was absolutely chilling to the ear! And when he opened his eyes, he realized that the two eyes staring at him were his big toes and that he had cut them off!! He went screaming out of the house,never collected his hundred dollars, and now had to walk with a limp for the rest of his life. Sometimes pranks can turn out to be not what one would expect so be careful the next time you take a dare that could cost you something so very dear.
